So, word has gotten out through other avenues such as Facebook and my wife's sheer enthusiasm that I have finally landed a job. Yes, for all of you that have been wondering when this day would finally come, it is time to starting living in the now.
So, I had an interview in Minnesota on March 23rd with Boston Scientific's Cardiac Rhythm Management divsion for a software testing position. My good friend Scott Say also works there and he is the sole reason that my resume was even considered. We all know what HR does with a Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering student resume for a software engineering position.
Anywho, I will be starting sometime around April 27th (I know thats quick for an out of towner). I will be writing software tests for the Latitude patient management system. It is a nifty device that interrogates a cardiac defibrillator and then uploads any cardio events to a central server for doctors to review data. Congrats...I feel like we've seen you through your teenage years. You came to us a fresh newlywed and you leave a father or two and with letters after your name. I'm so proud.

Congrats on the job- we are so thrilled for you all! And we know you can get that thesis done!
You can do it, you can do it...lalalalalala (a little Cinderella congrats from Livy)
And our other favorite...
Can we do it? YES WE CAN!(Thanks Bob the Builder)
All goofy parentness aside, we are so proud of you and know you will be a success! We also totally understand the stress of the thesis, selling the house and a quick move. Sounds like something we did a year ago (while having a baby - minus new job)! Let us know what we can do to help. I told Karen - but I'm telling you, too! If you need help "staging" or picking up stuff, just ask me!
And you can count on Shike vacations to your MN home someday :)
