I Did So Many American Things Today

There are so many reasons it is good to be an American today and I celebrated by doing some many American things today.

I did the following:

  1. I voted
  2. I got a free cup of coffee from Starbucks for voting (even though it is illegal for Starbucks to do so: http://www.kirotv.com/news/17885256/detail.html)
  3. I supported Nuclear energy by drinking the most burnt roasted coffee I have ever tasted
  4. I filled my coffee cup with the greatest American potable liquid: half-and-half (which took the burning twinge away)
  5. I burned my tongue on that coffee and thought about suing Starbucks
  6. I wasted a ton of time at work talking about the election with my coworkers
  7. I wasted my entire lunch hour searching for a website that had any precincts reporting
  8. I plan on getting more handouts by getting a free smoothie from Smoothie King after showing my "I Voted" sticker (which is also illegal)
  9. I plan on gluing myself to network TV coverage watching pundit, pollsters, and primetime journalists offer their conjecture over each state-by-state race.

No fair

I read all about the free things I could get with my "I Voted" sticker and was disappointed to learn that I don't live near any chain-business that was rewarding voters. Oh well, I let the baby have my sticker anyway.
